positive

Positive: something that is true; correct; right; accurate.

This week I was positively sick.  I'm pretty sure I got the flu and a cold.  I was going to take a picture of all my snot-filled tissues, sprinkled with various cough drop wrappers, along with the TV remote...but I decided that would be slightly disgusting. Haha so I'll let you read about  it instead ;)  It was cool though, I didn't have too much homework to tackle so I sat on the couch and drifted in and out of sleep as over 7 hours of NCIS played. God gave me enough energy (and enough cough drops) to get me through work and enough will power to write a few papers.  Thank you, Jesus, that I feel better now!  I'm not the greatest sick person...I'll think I'm better so I'll do a bunch of stuff...then I'll be sick again.  I'm currently on my second wave of the sickness because (but not limited to)....

I went to the "A Taste of Colorado" with my mama last night!  It was so great!  We had so much fun walking around Civic Park, talking to vendors, eating awesome food, getting free samples, and listening to some live music.  It started dumping rain while we were under our favorite vendor's booth.  It was great, all you can eat samples, great convos and rain?!?  How could it get any better than that?!

I'm not sure if I've said this before, but while we were in AZ, my dad was diagnosed with having Lyme Disease.  If you have some time, you should read this article about it: "Lyme Disease."  It's a really rampant disease that so many people unknowingly have.  Super interesting.

Well, dad is currently following a treatment plan to get rid of it.  The doctor said the disease is usually transmitted by ticks but it can also be transmitted other ways.  As such, my dad wanted me to get tested to see if I had it too.  Well, yesterday we got the fax result from my blood test saying: positive.  I don't want to freak any of you out by this...so, DON'T freak out!  I'm fine, God is good, and I guess me and my daddy will just be takin' our little meds together now!  Presh bonding time, right?  Most people wouldn't consider it that way.  But I'm going to enjoy every moment of life.  If that means enjoying seeing God heal my dad and me...let's do this!!

On a different note, have you ever realized how much proverbs talks about "Wisdom"?  Most of the first 9 chapters talk about wisdom and the impact it has on our lives.

"Does not wisdom call out?

Does not understanding raise her voice?

On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand...

for wisdom is more precious than rubies,

and nothing you desire can compare with her."

-Proverbs 8:1-2 & 11

It just hit me how important wisdom is.  How important God thinks wisdom is.

Wisdom is so positive.  It is such a light in this world.  Wise people are magnets.  I love it when people are just oozing with wisdom about life and God.  They are so positive.  Wisdom is so right.  It is correct.  It is accuracy.

I want to see more positively wisdom filled people.

If you haven't read the blog: Kisses From Katie, YOU MUST!  I discovered her blog a few weeks ago and it truly stunned me.  I read her blog, from the beginning, for at least 2 hours this morning.  Her heart for God and her stories about mothering over 130 kids at an orphanage in Uganda at the age of NINETEEN will change your life.  No joke.  It is truly amazing to read about.
